The meaning is all there, but it reads like a translation and feels awkward.

Say this

Translate this into English so it reads like a native speaker wrote it. The first time a proper noun appears, keep the original in parentheses. List anything you weren't sure about separately.

Literal translation is the safest bet, so that's what AI does by default. Tell it who the reader is and that it's allowed to rephrase, then have it hand over the parts it wasn't sure about. That beats checking line by line yourself.
